I've been back from my trip for 6 months now..Thought you should know about an excellent hostel.


First and foremost Wellington, NZ is a fantastic town. The shops are great and the scenery is to die for. It's very hilly so there are some fantastic look out points. Anyways I stayed at the YHA. Generally I tend to stay away from them but I'm so glad I didn't this time.

This place rocked. It had two kitchens, tons of dining room eating areas, a billard room, tv room, etc...The rooms all had an ensuite. My room had three bunks in it and it was huge!. Usually hostels try to jam as many bunk beds as they can in the rooms, but this one didn't. The room was so airy and bright, it even had a desk in it. All I gotta say is it was a a five star property. Hands down to the YHA people.

ps. There is an older clientele there so if you want to party, stay somewhere else. But sometimes it's nice to get out of the backpacker party places for a little while. Saves ya some money.
