For those of you who may be in the Melbourne area, Olembia and the Nunnery are wonderful stops for any time of traveler. The Olembia is a hybrid cross between a B&B and a hostel - very laid back and near St. Kilda's main drag. The Nunnery is funky, music always making life like a soundtrack, and near the trendy Fitzroy.
Just wanted to add my reccomendation of the Olembia to Wolf000's - such a nice place to stay, and St Kilda is, in my opinion, the best suburb of Melbourne.
