Well, I'm sitting here Wednesday evening. I just finished packing everything (in my new tiny bag). Tomorrow, all flights cooperating, I'll hopefully be on my way to Myanmar. The travel butterflies are eating up my stomach, so I'm trying to put them to sleep with a beer!
Heck, all the trips I've been on, and I still get nervous and excited the night before I leave. Of course, I reassure myself by remembering that no matter how funky the place I'm going, no matter how off the beaten path I may think I'm headed, I am STILL walking in the path of thousands of other travelers who have gone before me. Travel is so exciting, it's no wonder it's been around since man's earliest days. I walk in good company...
Wish me luck! Seeya in a week or so!

Thanks everyone! Your wishes must have worked, because Myanmar was an awesome time. The ruins at Bagan were simply stunning. I pick up my photos this afternoon, and can't wait to see them.
I started on my travelogue on the l-o-n-g plane ride back, so expect my website to be updated in a few days. I'll let you all know when it is done.
Anyway, I am glad I went to Myanmar. It is a special place...the people are great...everything is extremely inexpensive...and the sights are amazing. I think all the hordes of backpackers in Thailand need to dig into their wallet a tad and spring for a flight to Yangon. I guarentee they'll enjoy it.
Thanks again for the good wishes...

p.s. <-----what's with all the new "emoticons"? TP, you've been busy...gotta love this one...--->

Wow, what a reception! Thanks, everyone. Hey, we had a party tonight for people from work, and I found out one lady's son wants to backpack through Europe this year. Guess which web site I turned her on to???
Yeah, TP, I had my usual travel butterflies before the trip. Come on guys! Nobody else gets a last minute case of the willies right before they go??? I know I do. Some destinations more than others, but I have never cancelled a trip due to them. I just brought it up to share...you know, see if others feel the same way.
In the mean time, I've got my photos back. Yep. Thank God the Bagan ones turned out good...cuz it was one amazing place! Sooon...photos are coming soon...

p.s. Hi Atchoum! So, does the smiley mean YOU are a cowgirl, or that I'm a cowboy>
