Nice, let us know how it goes. I was browsing couchsurfing last night for the first time...I'd like to stay in downtown DC near all the tourist stuff and hotels are a fortune. Even 10 bed hostel dorms are expensive. But there are TONS of people within 5 miles of the mall, and they all look pretty cool!

It really is a great way to find out about cool stuff to do in the city. I haven't surfed yet (well once, but it was with someone I had met before at a couchsurfing potluck), but going out with other couchsurfers allowed me to become acclimated to Nashville much faster than I would have been able to do alone.

I've hosted once since I've posted this. With my classes/work during the week, it's hard to host except on weekends and I always seem to have something going on when people request a couch. It's winter now, so requests are slowing down, but apparently the amount of requests you get during the summer are ridiculous.
