Well, just heard from the Peace Corps.... my assignment has changed from one of IT infrastructure work in Romania to doing water/environ/health work in.... Morocco!

Sure, Romania would have been neat, but it's a bit "Been there done that" for me. I've never been to Africa ever, so this is looking like a cool deal.

Anybody had any experience in this area?

Oh yeah, the travel site's gotten a bit of a face-lift with a few new pics.

Sorry, I haven't been to North Africa, Ver. I have read a bit about Morocco and it sounds wonderful. Let us know how it goes!

My parents went to Morocco about 25 years ago, and it always comes up in conversation, from what I've herd it's an amazing place.

When do you head off?

If everything goes to plan, I'll be leaving sometime in March of 2004. I swear there's more paperwork in this process than I had to fill out in 4 years of college!

The more I hear the more Morocco sounds like a really great destination. I can't wait!

Hmm... all this talk about how beautiful Morocco is.. perhaps I should add it to my trip. That would be cool to make to at least part of Africa.

Hate to stray from the topic, but is Egypt a decent place to spend a week or so in? Nice people, relative ease of entry/exit?

Thanks in advance
