africa--botswana, zambia and malaria
i am headed to botswana and zambia in two weeks. 1) has anyone been there recently? and 2) did you need to take malaria pills? i am still trying to decide whether or not to take them. thanks.

I'm heading to Africa for 6 weeks in the summer. I would not go without taking Malaria tablets especially for the countries you are heading to. You should take malaria tablets two weeks before you go.

Absolutely. Take malaria tablets. Locals may disagree because the long term effects of taking them for decades deters them, but for you and I the traveler, you are foolish not to take them. People die from malaria.
