Oh, wow... I had totally forgetten about poutine as part of the Canadian diet. It's like comfort food at it's best, but you can definately feel your arteries harding just looking at it.

one of my favourite things is the 'A.B' (which i'm told is short for abortion, but i dunno).
Its hot chips, covered in yiros meat, dripping with garlic and chilli sauce.
The other odd food locally is the 'pie floater' - a meat pie, upside in a bowl, coverered in thick pea soup (with tomato sauce to taste)
