If your going on a trip where you won't be able to buy food for a few month's what do you bring. Now it doesn't have to be only food, it's can also be things to catch food with, But no Knives or Blades. I'm just looking for creative Ideas.
Think in the terms of being on an Island, all Alone. Maybe 1 or 2 people with you, but no other Human life on the island ANYWHERE!
Some stuff I would bring:
Rammen Noodles - 10 Packs
Oatmeal packs - 3-5 Packs
1 small ziplock bag with any pasta of you choice (you don't need sauce, you can use Fish oils or bullion for flavor)
Stronge fishing line and 3-5 hooks. (you can always use a stick and some worms)
Thin plastic to make Water stills. (you aways need fresh water)
And if it gets really bad and you run out of food eat your little earth dwelling friends - yes, BUGS! It's nasty yes, but it will keep you alive.
NOTE: Please don't leave any of the plastics or garbage you might have on any Islands or ANYWhere for that matter, Thank you! The people that might also go there will thank you as well!

dude you kinda tweak me out but i'll bite.
every person who has ever taken a survival course knows where its at when it comes to food.
PEANUT BUTTER. its really all you need. ditch the ramen and go with peanut butter. and can make even your lil earthy friends taste good.

Yes, peanut butter can be quite the universal food. Heck it can make almost anything taste good. Although eating peanut butter 24/7 can get a little old. I suppose you could bring other butters to spice it up, like apple butter, etc.
Also a nice granola type bar, that is nutritious to help keep your vitamins and such in balance. Doesn't have to be a main source of food, just a supplement. I have found good ones calls Alpsnack. They are a tad bland, but you get used to them pretty quick.
Just out of curiousity, why no blades or knives? It seems as though a knife would be a very helpful tool in survival.
On a different note, be sure to bring supplies to help in case of injury or illness.

I just said no knives, cause I know everyone's going to say something about hunting or fishing. I know all that already, I want to learn new things. If any anybody's got any little secrets on special ways to fish, food's that you can grow within a few weeks (1 or 2 no more) or other things that work just as well. Oh and the peanut butter idea is good, but I think after the 4th day I'd get alittle tired of it. I'm going to be on some islands below Thialand for a few months, with no-one around for hundreds of miles. No people to buy stuff from and no-one except for the people who I'm with. I think the Rammen is a good idea. I can Eat it and if I'm not hungry I can also drink it. :+) But I think I'll pack a little peanut butter as well now! Thanks~

ah ok.. gotcha. I thought maybe you were just trying to make it even more difficult on yourself or going to make knives when you get there.

Powerbait. If you get tired of eating fish, you can always use it as a handy adhesive. Or war paint if things on the island descend to that level.

I usually take a bundle of Clif bars with me wherever I travel -they're simple, compact, and full of enough nutrients to keep me going in a pinch. On the way back, last time, I had a handful left and US Customs saw it fit to hassle me for having an "agricultural product." I reminded them that they're from HERE and got a reply of, "Uh, oh yeah..."

I assume you have accsess to potable water.
bring some dried beans, theyre very cheap, keep forever and u soak them overnight and get about 4 times in volume.
also bring along some spices to liven things up. (pepper, chilli, dried herbs, curry powder etc) they dont take up much room and can greatly improve flavour.
oh and bring some chocolate, u never know when you''ll get a craving.

I would do anything I could to avoid eating bugs. Eeeew. I know, nutrional content.
I would have to stash a few MREs. It would be like a luxury dinner - they have those auto heaters and you get a entree, a side and desert and snacks! They're a little more pricey for civilians though. I have my own secret hookup though.
Ramen and tuna are good - non perishable and filling.
I'd definitely pack some nuts and some kind of nutbutter.
There may be plants you can munch on too.
