Wow! You just get all you need! Meat, vegetables and rice...
I eat rice every day! But not minute rice... For the past week I've been mixing it with green onions and tuna or tofu. Then roll it in a tortilla, add some sour cream and salsa...Quick, filling and excellent!
The recipe I'm famous for is a two stories chocolat cake called 'Gâteau de papa' (Dad's cake)...I think I've been cooking this cake since I was 10! Every time there is a birthday in my family I'm asked to cook it. I can't tell you the recipe, it's of the secret kind.

my boyfriend and i eat this about 3 times a week, similar to your recipe moc. - mind you, a pound of tofu is only $1.29.
1lb. tofu cut in to 1/2" squares
covered in thinly sliced green onion
topped with lots of shoyu (soy sauce)
served with rice, of course from the rice cooker!!
and steamed spinach or cabbage.
so good for you and so freakin' cheap!

My working out diet consists of REALLY filling food....mostly Carbs and calories....(lots of beans, rice, pasta, etc)....
too many people think that if you eat a lot of protein and work out you will get big.....when in fact they are just setting themselves up for getting a kidney stone...OUCH!!!
Anyways....here's a one of my regular dinners.........
Baked Ziti:
1) Cook Ziti Noodles
2) simmer crumbled up tofu with olive oil in pan (takes place of ricotta cheese)
3) add in diced bell peppers and mushrooms (i prefer portabello) and onions and season with spices, a bit of oregeno, and a dash of terriyiaki sauce
4) grease baking dish if necessary
5) add 1 layer of ziti noodles into pan and lightly cover with tomato sauce
6) disperse tofu and veggies over ziti and top with mozzerella cheese
7) add another layer of ziti noodles and cover with more sauce
8) top off with layer of mozzerella cheese sprinkled with some parmisaggean
9) bake for like 20-30 minutes on about 350 degrees F (dunno what that is in Celcius)
NOT SO QUICK, but GOOD!!! costs about $8 altogether to make and feeds about 6-8 people
Another GREAT! recipe:
1) get cookie mix and stir up batter (dont put in oil/butter yet)
2) grind about one quarter (10 grams) of pot up in coffee grinder
3) place grinded up pot in pan with the necessary amount of oil or butter and simmer on Low-Medium for about 40 minutes....or until pot is dark brown....
4) filter pot excriment out of oil/butter
5) continue stirring batter with "new and improved" oil/butter
6) bake cookies at about 2/3rds of the regular temperature for a little bit longer...
(cookies will not taste or smell or look like marijuana in any way)
7) Feed cookies to yourself, friends, parents, and teachers (Reccommended dosage is about 1/5 of the batch per person)
8) Wait 1-2 hours and have about 6 hours of FUN!!!!!!!! :D

Yeah I tried the spacecake too.....Definately a NO GO on that.....I think they only use the leaves to make it and not the buds....Much less potent and shitty high.......
last time I made these cookies I gave 2 to my 28 year old (ex-drugy) roomate (without him knowing they had pot in it) and 1 hour later he was feeling "fuzzy" then 2 hours later he was on the couch fully awake with his eyes closed telling me he was flying through space.....he kinda realized they were spiked at that point..

alright - now i'm really gonna make them.
i made a batch of brownies once - they seemed like they'd come out good (whatever that means) but i decided to smoke a joint right before i put them in the oven (that was about 10:30pm) and i became very sleepy and decided i could take a nap and set the alarm for 40 minutes - uh, i woke up in the morning ... and needless to say - i didn't have a brownie for breakfast.

the best salmon you will ever have:
mix in a bowl. all measuments approx:
diced onion (1/4 cup)
dill weed (1 tablespoon)
mustard (1 teaspoon)
sour cream (1/2 cup)
mayo (1/4 cup)
adjust ingredients to taste. I like mine fairly tangy with a hint of mustard and dill.
2 or 4 boneless salmon filets
spread mixture on salmon
grate up 1/3 cup of cheddar and sprinkle on salmon
add parmesan if you like
sprinkle paprika over salmon to taste
bake at 350 for approx 20 minutes, then broil until cheese is browned.
enjoy.
I'll dig up my fried noodle recipe and honey chicken recipe later.

Damn right!!! My dad fed me that for breakfast lunch and supper when I was a little kid. He is the best cook I know. Once I become famouse i'll throw a huge party and everyone on the TP board is invited. Sticky rice for all!!! Every single one of my friends that i've given sticky too have become addicted. It's like heroin. Some day I hope to be as lucky as you Joan and go to Thailand or Laos. Shit I envy you.
OK easy recipie: Eggies
In a bowl mix two egg's one green onion, two tablespoons of soya sauce (Golden Mountain brand if possible) and one tablespoon of fish sauce.
In a frying pan add a half cup of tomatoe's one green onion and a clove of garlic. simmer untill soft.
Add the egg and cook like an omlette. Add this to rice or eat it with sticky rice, I promise you'll be addicted. Gin-kowt "eat"

you can make it over there easily, fez - you'll just have to quit busting your ass for free at the farm/ranch thing and bust ass for some cash for a few months - dude, my whole trip including flight, accomodation, food, fun, AND $500 spending cash = $2300 - haha, actually that even includes a day trip into seoul and a night at a 5 star hotel... basically, you can do it on way less - i'm kind of a priss anyway on the road, i bet you can do it for $1700-1800 all in = DO IT! Gin-Kowt!

My dad is going home to Vientien in October. I wish I could go with him but we're almost done the house. I think we're going to just jam up here all winter and next summer do our trip. I will be going in the next few years. But I don't like to plan things because it seems every time that you plan something you allways end up disappointed.

Hey fez, just here to tout touring s.e.a. again - the trip was WAY cheaper than my estimated $2300, try just $1480 including airfare and three-weeks transportation/accomodation/food! ... not that i'm pushing you to plan anything, but keep them numbers in mind ~ they're mighty fine!!

Ok, i think this recipe might be good when travelling cos there are so few ingredients, but boy is it yummy.
feed 4 as a main
800 g pumpkin
500g pasta
200g of baby spinach
200 g fetta cheese, chopped approz 1 cm cubes)
sprinlkle of parmesean
peel and chop pumpkin into 1 cm cubes. place on oiled tray and place in medium oven for approx 30 mins. You want the pumpkin cooked and preferable crisp on the outside.
cook pasta till al dente, drain then pour back into saucepan, add the spinach on top and leave for 3-5 mins. add the roasted pumpkin and the pumpkin, mix. transfer to an oven proof dish. sprinkle with parmesean and bake for 20 mins.
