Where are the best/cheapest places to get alcohol in London?

I will be at Wake Up London(hostel) so preferably something close to that.

Thanks for the help

Andrew

Beer is relatively cheap at grocery stores. Look to pay way more - around £3 - for a pint at a pub. Spirits are much more expensive - the best deal is to find a student club or student night or a hostel bar and see what the specials are. The Rock Garden/Gardening Club in Covent Garden has a nice, cheap night (either Tues or Weds) where all drinks are £1.50. Tip the bartender well on the first round, and she'll only pretend to measure out the shots... There are also good deals to be found in the Shoreditch area, as well as Camden and other areas frequented by young folks. As for stuff near Wake Up!, I dunno for sure..

I believe there is cheap alcohol anywhere in this world - you just have to know where to look.

Anyway I'm with omi as to going to the supermarket. Get primed up at the hostel with supermarket drinks then you'll only need one or two of the expensive drinks at the pub/club to keep you going.

Go to the university bars, if asked claim you are on an exchange when they ask you for a NUS card.

Do exactly what ev said with one slight alteration.. Get pissed with a bunch of mates. Find them there. Then play several games of Kings Cup. Best game ever. Then you're ready.
