ME? Simple.

When drinking beer I usually have either a Becks or St. Pauly girl in hand.....However I am more of a Whiskey drinker and as far as I am concerned nothing in the world is better than a Crown Royal on the rocks. But I have yet to stomp out into the world and expand my liver killing horizons. Ohhhhh may 26th can't come soon enough.....Which brings another quick question, how many of you were actually motivated at least in some small way to travel for sake of trying foreign alcohols? Am I really that bad?

Theres nothing better than a nice JD & cool coke with your feet up under a grass type thing umbrella. Havn't thought of a loctaion to top it off yet. But shall do.

Kettle One, always and forever. I like it with tonic, but it goes with everything, even if you mix it with shots of Patron, you won't be sick the following day
Oh, you're not alone clevercraig, when traveling you gotta sample the booze, its part of the whole international flavors experiential thing. I can't say I traveled just for the alcohol, but sipping Ouzo in Greece for example was integral in experiencing culture.

I second that kettle one, I drink it with hawaiin punch, orange juice, solo, bloody mary's....ect....

I love it!

And clevercraig, everytime I travel I have to have the local beer to get that feeling of a different beer, or alcohol they have. I am always down for a trip that will involve alcohol tasting.

I prefer the Goose over Ketel One, but both are quite fine. I lloooovvvee beer though and always try to find the best local brews wherever I go - and it is always on my mind. London is great in that regard. I am hopeful Oz has some tasty finds awaiting me!!

Ever try a flaming volcanoe? Great fun with a group of people, if your doing a lot of drinking and celebrating. Take a shot of Sambuca, swish it around a bit. Tilt your head back, open wide, and have someone take a lighter and light her up. It goes down nice and warm.

A good pint of Guinness is my drink of choice though..

Craig.. holy shit... since it was Guinness that got me into drinking beer.. I decided that I needed to travel to find good beer... so it is an underlying theme of my journeys... although we have a relatively decent selection at some stores of foreign beers... so it won't be all new. I have had Japanese and Czech, and various beers.. but never a Labatt's or Budweiser.

Oh yeah.. umm.. favorites... Guinness, Sinebrychoff, Bitsburger, there are a few others... I like jagerbombs, smartie bombs, meade, baronjager, and various others.

Sijuki, whats a bitsburger?????

I've tried the sambuca fire drink. Didn't know it was called a flaming volcano though. But my friend who knows all the damn cocktail tricks ever taught me it. First off, you get a high ball glass, put about 2 shots of samubca in it, then swish it round the glass, then light the drink (the whole glass on the inside sets alight), you then put your hand over the glass. The flame goes out, which sucks your hand tight to the glass, due to umm....science and all that jazz. You then carefully move a couple of fingers, making an opening, and you breathe in the fumes. Which totally gives you a great high. Nice....And you do that three times. After doing three times, you sip up all the remainder sambuca from the glass, and finish it off like fireguy said. ......be careful not to get it on your lips though, cos, then you get flames on your lips....eek. ..........

I love that drink.....everytime I see my friend, he brings along a bottle of sambuca. Its great doing out in pubs, cos everyone stares at you, and its funny seeing their faces.

Wow Beady, I've never tried Sambuca that way.

I love that drink too. One shot of Sambuca, 4 dollars. Ten shots for your ten buddies, 40 dollars. Having the whole pub staring at you like you're all a bunch of crazy animals...priceless.
