Default Pamplona...Bulls

Ive been thinking about running with the bulls ever since I heard about it early on... however Im pretty afraid of it. All ive seen is pictures of being being mauled and heard stories about being goured and whatnot. Is the running of the bulls as scary/dangerous as it looks? A worthwhile experience? Also, if I went to it this summer, i'd be solo; good/bad idea?

Thanks!

Search for "Pamplona" under the Tags search and you will find answers to any question you could have about Pamplona, the Running of the Bulls, the San Fermin Festival, etc.

From what I've heard, its not that dangerous. Think, its every year for 7 days right? And thousands of people run everyday. So there have been a couple of accidents (usually from people who arent paying attention, were up all night before drinking) but overall if you use your head, you can do it safely.

I just came back from the travel agents and discovered that your insurance policy usually won't cover you for the running of the bulls. Mine won't even fly my body home if I get killed.

Something to consider...

I didn't run, but I was there this summer and here's what I think. There are specific rules for running with the bulls. They are posted on the course. They're there for a reason. Ex) If you fall, you curl up and crawl out, you don't get up or try to run again.

Honestly, there is definitely potential in getting hurt. I mean, you're running with bulls!

But if you follow what you're supposed to do and don't try to act like some superhero, you should be ok.

and if you do get hurt, i had nothing to do with it

Hey sorry if I gave a negative opinion two posts ago.

Just to clarify, I'm totally going to do it.
