from Budapest to Rome in 3 weeks...
Ok so I was working in a hostel in Krakow for 2 months and now its time to move on...
Right now Im in Budapest and have booked for 4 days but im not too sure where to go afterwards?!!
I was thinking something like this: Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, either Turkey or Greece, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia then Italy.
From Italy I have a flight booked to Ireland from there I have a flight booked to Sweden. I plan to return to the Netherlands then down to Belgium, France, Spain then home.
If anyone has any input for Eastern Europe I would like to hear it...

Wow, you've already been in Krakow for 2 months? Time flies bro.
I am so envious of your travel plans right now, man. You're all over the map! Nice...
Hit me up if you make it to Madrid

Wow, time does fly !
Your route makes sense and will show you different faces of Eastern Europe. My favorite country in E.E. was Romania, for which I took some time to visit outside the usual Brasov and Bucharest. If you limit your stay in Romania to these two, you might be disappointed. I'd suggest you spend more time in Transylvania to visit around (Sighisoara is gorgeous for instance) and even explore the countryside in the north where it really feels like going back in time !
Btw, a Budapest-Bucharest train ticket allows as many stops as you please along the route (within a period of time of one month I believe). Get informed when you buy it, but the last I've heard, this policy was still going on.
Bulgaria also has a lot of worthy places to see. And the Black Sea coast is a neet place to chill out.
I didn't go further so can't advice any more.

budapest is so awesome!!! which hostel r u stayin at?
gooooo to serbia and stay at three black catz (my friend mladen owns it). its only about 15 or 20 bucks one way from budapest, train goes from keleti every day at 13:00 and 23:00!
belgrade is sooo fun, trust me!!! everyone I tell to go there loves it! mladen gives you free home made serbian raijka, it has awesome nightlife, great people and sights!
I don't think I would try to do all those countries in three weeks. Travel time in the Balkans can be looong.
If you do head to Romania after but try to stay out of Bucharest. I didn't find it so bad but my friend has a hate on for it for some reason. Got hassled by a tranny prostitute I think. He's crazy. Its not the best but its not the worst.

Oh right, I forgot the 3-weeks period of time mentioned in the title. I agree with Lizz, it's indeed unrealistic. Better to either head West already or to plan a flight if you travel through Romania and Bulgaria.

Indeed time does fly! This will be my second trip to Spain though and I do not think I will be heading to Madrid. While working in Krakow I made a couple friends who are from Alicante and Ill be heading there during this trip. I was in Madrid sometime in July this year already.
