Okay, I'm putting together an alternate trip to our planned Scandinavian adventure for this summer (tentatively titled "Scandimonium 2008!") to Greece. We just wanted to have some regional choices.

Now, if you had to choose only 2 of the following three places, which would it be (and why): Ios, Santorini, Mykonos

I know there are a ton more islands and I would definitely entertain other choices, but I've heard the most about these three. Also, we'll be traveling on limited time so we need to keep a tight schedule.

I have been to Santorini, which is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and would strongly reccomend going. Ios, is ok but nothing remotely close to Santorini. I have heard good things about Mikinos if you don't mind an "alternative" society. I think that place is quite sexually liberal.

You will definitely need to go to Ios... just for the sheer debauchery of it all. Personally I couldn't stay in Ios for beyond a couple of days... the sheer volume of partying is a little exhausting.

Basically one night at Ios, is like putting together 5 nights of drinking in regular time into one big night of partying.

It's probably some of the most fun place I visited on my last trip.

2009: Japan & HK, Southern Spain

2011: India (Goa), Jordan, Jerusalem, San Sebastian (Spain), Amsterdam (again), London, Driving from Vancouver to L.A. (stopping in Portland, Seattle, San Fran and all the little stops), Montpellier (France), Geneva and Lausanne (Switzerland)

Santorini for SURE!!!!!!!! We spent 7 days there and could of stayed longer.... Ios, think college spring break in Fl, but in Greece. If you want to party till 6 in the morn, then go for it. We spent 3 days there. We didn't make it to Mykonos, but its always known as a great choice, but very expensive. We chose to go to Naxos instead, and had a wonderful time. Naxos was very laid back and chill, with a lot to do. But like I said earlier, Santorini is the bomb. I have a ton of info on these islands, so PM me if you want.

Never been to either of those, I've only been to Corfu and Kos.

But please please please do Scandimonium 2008, just for the wicked name!!!

Actually i didnt really think santorini was that great but i LOVED crete! It was soo cheap and beautiful, the Samarian gorge is really something that needs to be experienced i highly recommend it
