I have decided to go somewhere in Europe for a couple of weeks on a complete whim...the general idea was that I'd just get the cheapest flight to anywhere, but flying from bristol uk at such short notice, my options aren't that great.
I narrowed my possible destination down to Rome, Milan, or Prague. Which one do I choose??!! I have to book my ticket before I go to bed, which is in about an hour. At the moment I feel like the decision is too big to be choosing completely at random... Has anyone got any ideas? I want to go somewhere that is friendly and not intimidating, somewhere I can meet cool people at hostels etc, and somewhere I can go out for a drink in the evening on my lonesome, and possibly get talking to people. Hope someone has some words of wisdom or experience to help me choose. Rome does sound like a more impressive place to visit than prague, but i really dont want that to be the basis of my decision, ive looked around on the internet quickly, but peoples personal experiences would help alot more i think. |
The reason I put this into the urgent advice thread was because I need to make this decision within the next hour or so, oh well nevermind.

You can easily meet people at hostels in both places. Can you think about what culture you're more interested in? For example, I for one always wanted to see the Colesseum so that was a highlight in Rome...that said I haven't been to Prague so I don't have anything to add there.
With the right attitude you'll enjoy both. Good luck! |
