If you are in Fort William, changes are you are there for outdoor activities! The Smiddy Bunkhouse is a nice hostel staring right at Ben Nevis (highest mountain in the UK). We stayed in an 8 person bunk room that had its own attached living/dining/kitchen as well as its own showers and laundry. Very nice community feel and good price as well.

Right next door the owners also have the Snowgoose Mountain Center - where you can rent climbing, hiking and other outdoor gear. We rented snow boots, crampons and ice picks for out hike up Ben Nevis.
