The Hatters hostel in Manchester England. Big bright rooms, central location, huge bathrooms and showers for both gents and ladies. Large kitchen and lounge with a pool table and selection of dvd's that changes weekly. Large friendly staff willing to help you with just about anything (even telling you how to use your phone card when you cant understand it ) Seriously, everything inside the city is within 20 minutes walk. Might be more of a weekend friendly town though becuase eveything was dead at 8 pm on monday night.

First off, no kidding about it being dead on a Monday (which happened to be our only night there!) But I completely agree with recommending Hatters. I also liked the actual building, how it looked like a warehouse on the outside and stuff. It was so clean and comfortable, although sort of cold when we were there (beginning of May).
