I am looking for a hostel in London and it appears to get a good location you need to spend around 30 US/night. Does anyone know anything about the Rosedene Hotel, it appears to be a good place in a good area for 25 US a night. Was hoping to get some feedback before I book it! Here is the link to it...... rosedene hotel

Just hit the generator.. it's basically downtown... and it's only 8 pounds a night (well that's how much I paid) I loved that place... kick ass! Plus they give you free beer

Hyde Park hostel looks decent, i actually have found that through net research many of the London Hostels are comprable to those through out europe as far as costs go...Unfortunatley it appears the same cannot be said for the rest of the costs in London, hence my short 2 day stay

"The Smart Hyde Park Inn" is great. Good location next to Bayswater station, and right next to lots of pubs and shopping and of course, Hyde Park. I stayed 6 nights for $90.. Worth it. They advertise breakfast, but really its some soggy toast and cornflakes. But its all good.

The Astor Hyde Park (2-6 Inverness Terrace, 1 block east of Queensway) is practically my home on the other side of the Atlantic... it's near my old hood, I know which showers are best, and I think I've spent more time there in the last year than at my best friend's place. *sigh*

ooooh yeah. Same place. Which showers are the best? I only used the one on the first floor next to the entrance to the basement... I used it at odd times so always had hot water.. And another one on the third (?) floor, right on the landing.. the door didnt lock well so I felt a bit insecure. And it had water all over the floor even late at night.

Ah, top floor, to the left if you're facing the front of the building. End of the hallway. Last stall. It's got a frosted window, so you actually have plenty of light and space... and that one ALWAYS seems to have hot water

Well, maybe I was... and maybe I was damp all night because I couldn't dry off in the dark.

Sorry I haven't been to that one but for dorm rooms I stayed in the Piccadilly Backpackers hostel for 12 pounds a night, I thought it was a great location, nothing fancy but definitely worked for me. And I met some fun people. Nothing like coming back from the pubs to some Austrailians watching soft core porn in the common room. Funny as shit.

Stay at the London House Hotel if you're lookin' for cheap and a great location....rooms were decent and the tube stops are close. Otherwise Piccadily Hotel is a bit more expensive, but was really good and the atmosphere was fun.
