This hamlet, village is situated about 20-30km SE of Utrecht. The hostel name is Animal Farm, soon to be changed Animal House. It is 10euro a night, or slightly higher for the twin room (perfect for couples). You have to get here by bus from the train station. Theo runs and ownes the place. He is a tour guide/journalist by trade. There are two rabbits, two cats, one pig, one guinea pig, 5 chickens and two goats. They allow camp fires in the back. Plenty of cool hang out places. Three computers with internet and a portable laptop with wifi you can take around the property and use outside:stoked: . The downside to the place is that you have to take a bike to a few kilometers to a Co-Op. However there is an upside because there is a 110 year old bar 5 minutes down the road. Very beautiful and worth every step to get here and back.
This hostel is one of those hidden gems that you find while traveling. I have been to cleaner hostels, more rural ones, smaller and bigger ones, but this rates up there with one of my top 3 places I have found, hostel or not.
