Just a brief note about the hostel in Rotenburg, Germany. I stayed there last year in mid march, so it was a bit in the off season, but the hostel was great. Super clean, nice hot showers, great breakfast, and very friendly staff (we showed up waaaaaaaaay late after getting off the train from Fussen) and they let us in for the night. They make you show an International Hosteling card, or get one there (its not expensive if you have it, and supposedly helpful on other Euro hostels). HIGHLY reccommended.... as well as the little old peaceful town. It was so beautiful!! My fave part about bumming around DE last year. Well, thats my 2 cents

Thanks Sherpette!

I´ll just have to log that down in the memory bank when I hit up Germany - hopefully this summer!

It´s all about customer service, baby! That´s what I´m talking about!

Cool

Another German hostel which was awesome- the Pegasus hostel in Berlin. Clean, private rooms, small, outgoing travelers, and nice friendly staff. Right next to the Ostbanhof train station, it was super easy to access from the main station downtown. Loved it!

Just a quick backup on the Pegasus Hostel, had a great week there in September and the Kebab shop next to it is good value and open 24/7, hope to make it this year for the love parade.
