Well I should have known better when I walked through the doors of this hostel, it just gave me a bad vibe...from the time I checked in, I had bookeda private room for 2 nights just to make sure I got some sleep before i went home, well they had over booked and the private room was not available, so I was offered a dorm room for a very good price and I accepted...little did I know it was a dorm room of about 40 beds ( with one bathrrom/shower)!!! I was not happy but the price was right. I did not stay at the hostel long after checking in I dropped my bags on my bed and went for a walk about town.
Upon my return, i went to look around the hostel to see what was up, I do not know which upset me more, the filthy kitchen or dinning area??? So I made a mental note, DO NOT MAKE FOOD HERE!!! I made my way down to the BAsement and bloody hell, it was not a basement, it was a dungeon, with dirty old couchs and chairs, a pool table that was so off you could not play on it. Maybe it was some type of art thing, but the dirt patterns on the floor, really not my thing.
And my most memorable experience about the Linen House Hostel in Belfast, the BEDBUGS, oh yes the little bastards went to town on me on the second night i was there, although I am glad I am now an official member of the food chain, This place is in my books a dump!
The only positive thing I can say about this hostel is the resonable internet rates, and the friendly guy who was watching the front desk at night after midnight.
Please read this post to hear all about the bed bugs!!!
