Wong... Cingular does suck.. they suck monkey balls so big, chasey lain would choke on them. I had cingular for just about a year. I hated every minute of it.

I have Nextel now. I have very few problems with them. My account is decked out, free incoming, unlimited nights / weekends, unlimited direct connect, Internet, AIM, Free Text Messaging, 500 Outgoing Peak minutes. I have 4 months left on my contract, but will probably stay with them. I have more problems with the phones (which are motorola) but my insurance takes care of that (I seem to lose the bastards) . The service I get is pretty good. I occassionally lose signal but nothing like with cingular. Also I like that I never roam, and I like the direct connect since almost everyone I know has nextel.

I had sprint for a while, they were great for me, but my buddy had them too and they sucked ass for him. I know a few others that recently had sprint and they still do what they did to me ,which is not credit your account and shut your phone off. Or just not send you your bill and shut your phone off. Hell sometimes they shut your phone off for fun.

Others like Voice Stream, Verizon, etc. I haven't heard too much one way or the other.

I don't have a regular phone line at home. My brother and I (who is my roomate) each have a cell phone...I didn't want to become his secratary, since he is always on the go and gets about 10 calls a day. So Whenever I answer the phone, I know it's someone calling ME, If I don't want to be disturbed I just shot it off, and if I am waiting for an important phone call I carry it around...

I'm with Bell Canada, on a 2 years contract. Unlimited acess from 6PM each night and on weekends, plus 350 minutes/month during the day, free text messages and I could go on the web with it but I never do...I'm very happy with it! It works practically everywhere (at my father's woodlot! But I have to climb on a roof...) and on the major roads, I never loose the signal.

It's a bit more expensive than a regular phone, but it's worth it.

Hey Mocsy, wanna post that cel number?

Just kidding. I don't own a cel phone. I have no desire to be "reachable," anytime, anywhere. Ugh. A friend of mine at work was given a cel phone by his wife for Valentine's Day last year. We both laughed and called it his "handcuffs..."

Well I have one cause I was never home, or wherever I crashed. I always, worked, worked, or went to school. So it was the only way to get a hold of me. But since being laid off, it doesn't hold quite the importance it once did. But I still like it.

Moc, That is the other thing I like about Nextel is it works everywhere. When I had Cingular I would enter roaming halfway to work. It sucked. Roaming was about $2/min.

Moccassin,

But with PM's we can't feel that exqusite French accent dance across our eardrums.

P.S. Verizon is pretty good from what I hear. I don't have a cell because then people would be calling me all the time. And I don't really need that.
