Unless you want to wast half your trip in either a freezing cold or sweltering hot bus then stear clear.

I'll be in the states till august 22 if you happen to be in the indianapolis area let me know I show you the sites....uhhh all two of them.....

no, no, no ... greyhound is a necessary part of the true u$ experience, like going to a pub in ireland. where else will you be woken at 2am, on your way to L.A. from Seattle and be woken by a man screaming, "i'm the fucking predator!!! i'm the fucking predator!!!" or, have a guy jump out of the bus while it is in motion? yes, both of those happened. come to think of it, i prefer to hitch-hike (when i have the time) as oppposed to ride greyhound. it's cheaper, safer and sometimes funnier. i grew up in southern california, a few minuts from L.A. what sort of information do you need?

Well, I had my daypack pissed on by some crazy lady with multiple personality disorder... that's enough to keep me away, as fun an adventure as that was.

My experience with Grayhound is of the 'Whos who of mental illness' variety. But with an Ameripass, you have unlimited travel opportunities, and it's still the cheapest way to go... especially if the city you're in turns out to be a bummer, you can pick a new destination at random!

I recommend travelling light, and keeping an eye on your stuff if you do go. Other than that, I've not had too many really terrible experiences on the bus. Avoid travelling during the holidays (Labor day, Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, and Christmas)

The good ol' USofA... hey I would say stop by Detroit, but the only problem is, is once you get off the bus at the greyhound station you are pretty much walking whereever you go. Plus Detroit is probably one of those bummer cities you would want to leave after a day.

I recommend checking out Toronto and Vancouver in Canada. Chicago is cool too.

Yeah, if greyhound is like it is in Canada, it's a tough way to travel. I spent three days straight on it with my sister and was not really all that fun. Didn't really have any encounters with wierdo's, the bus drivers could be really cranky at times though. Bleh.

It's hard sitting in that small space with someone beside ya, especially if it's your sister. ha ha. But I must admit it's something you have to experience for yourself. You can meet some cool people too.

greyhound seems to be the smelliest gathering of people with turrets syndrome and anti-social personality disorders...but what better way to welcome you to the usa!

Remember, a good chunk of Greyhound passengers are people who just got out of prison that had no one to pick them up!
