Wow...JFK will probably be quiet the day you arrive, but it's going to be a madhouse the day you leave (if you're leaving the 27th). That's Thanksgiving weekend in the states, so a lot of people travel to be with family. I'm not sure yet of my Thanksgiving plans, but if I am stuck in the NY area, I'll be sure to let you know so we can have a proper American drunk-fest to rival a Liverpudlian piss-up. :D

I hope you have the time of your life - and if you see any stupid Americans, don't jump to conclusions!!! If you see any cool, awesome and hilarious Americans, feel free to generalize. Yes, we are ALL like that.
You will LOVE New York.

NYC is a lot of fun. Enjoy your trip and don't mind all the thuggish Immigration guys at the airport on your way in, and the thuggish TSA security guys on your way out. In spite of what it seems, you are not entering or leaving Nazi Germany (or maybe that can be debated these days....ha,ha).
You will get to see the absolutely mad Christmas shopping frenzy (and lots of sales) that begins right after Thanksgiving (Nov 23rd). In the U.S., the Friday after Thanksgiving is the biggest shopping day of the year. I avoid it like the plague, but some people live for it. Have a great time!!

Enjoy NYC Bri!
You got soo lucky with that airfare. One of my fav bands is playing in atlanta on Oct 25 and if I could catch a deal like that then I would not hesitate to go just for a few days. I want to see them that bad.

Ah, I'll be up at Tahoe that weekend for a big ol' Thanksgiving/snowboarding blowout.
Although a girlie night sounds like fun. I could totally get my toenails painted.
