So I am wanting to squeeze in as much as possible between 6 Dec (when I finish up exams here) and 11 January (when my spring semester program starts in Tokyo). At this point, I am thinking either Australia or New Zealand during that time.
That being said, I am a little sad at the thought of not being with my family on Christmas. Not that we do anything major, but still, it's Christmas.....I have friends in various places in Australia so I am sure I wouldn't be completely alone and probably someone would invite me to be with their family that day so I probably wouldn't just be in a hostel, but I think it will still be hard for me. But since I want to live abroad I should just get used it, right?
Alright, so who all has been ALONE in a foreign country during the holidays with no definite plans and how did you deal with it/what did you do?
