hey, i am headin through europe and am quite excited. Only thing is I seem to be unable to find things to do in cities. It seemes everything just talks about museums and architecture. People I have spoken too say ya really dont need to have much planned fo reach city, as you will find stuff to do. But i would like some advice on things to do in cities. Cities I plan on going through include, Brussels, Prague, Athens, salzburg, most of italy and then barcelona, madrid etc. if there are any specific things that others did here, that ya may not find on a travel website please share. Appreciate any ideas, and hopefully i can check them out.

well i aint been travelling as such really,so ya may not think i can help,but an idea that might be able to help people is if you told them the type of stuff your into,then people have an idea of suggestions for you that you may be intrested in,i mean you could always eat,breathe,drink,masturbate,have sex,smoke a joint,break a law,but these are obvious things to do,but what music you into,sports ya like,etc,etc,etc :friends:

all depends what your into...i like photogrpahing random things, bumming about on the subways/trams, going off the beaten track, checking out abandoned buildings, forgotten monuments, communist stuff, markets, weird and quirky things, local bars and restraunts away from the tourists.

But I also try to fit in all the touristy landmark photo opurtunitys aswell. Not a fan of art gallerys or sculpture parks or just sitting about in cafes.

Where as my mate Pete likes some of the same stuff as me but is more into chilling with a coffee in small cafe and watching the world go by. Everyone is different and its your trip so decide what your into then do your research. Theres no rules to say you have to go and see art gallerys or museums or whatever.
