Alright everyone reassure me. I'm a 20 year old student..this is my first trip and my travel parter may not come. Is travelling alone for a month really an option?
I don't have an itinerary set in stone as most of my friends who have done this say it's better to just go with the flow. But not being able to get a hostel in a foreign country in the middle of the night is defenitly not an endeavor I wish to tackle alone...
I'm thinking Spain, France, Germany, Italy. Spending a week in each.

First off, WELCOME!!
Secondly, there is no way you should bail on your trip if your partner bags on you. Traveling alone is a very enriching experience. There will be plenty of others in the same boat. It can seem very daunting, but be brave and go for it!

Try it solo! If you don't like it there's usually another traveler at your hostel/hotel who wants some company.

that's what most of the people on this forum do is travel alone. someone's got to have something right. go it alone!

Go alone. I just did it for 3 weeks and met tons of people no problem to hang with. Just reserve the hostel before you leave for the next city on hostelworld.com and you should have no problem. DO IT ALONE. It is so awesome. Take lots of pics and have a few
