Just do what most travelers do and stay in London! Not really, check out Wales and Cornwall.

dont waste your time in london

GLASTONBURY is awesome. I wish I could have spent more time there. You've got the Tor (big hill with ruined tower on top) and chalice gardens, and the town itself is really neat, and the ruined abbey is supposedly the resting place of arthur and guienevere. The Tor is surrounded by legends, one of them is that merlin created a three dimensional maze in the tor that leads to the underworld. Another is that Joseph of Arimethea buried the Grail under it, and the spring that runs from under the Tor is from the chalice. The spring turns the rocks around it red and tates like blood (due to high iron content, no doubt, but its still interesting and fun). The spring is in the Gardens along with a bunch of new age hippie types who meditate. The gardens are gorgeous. Glastonbury itself is lovely, cool shops, good food, and several nice pubs with good prices. Definitely campable.

And jesus, really any of the places briley mentioned.. didnt make it up to the lake district but I've heard enough about it..
