First one, yes you can get your pictures printed and or put on a cd at film and camera places for a pretty reasonable price. They should provide Cds. Its comparable to continually printing and buying film. Or you can bring your cable and find net cafes that let you upload your pics.
Second, most hostels will have blankets. If not for free, for rent or deposit. Sigh. The hostel I stayed at in Edinburgh had the NICEST duvet covers.... it was lovely, like being at home...
Third, about the ipod, if you get a plug adapter you should be fine. Just watch it so you dont fry it, but chargers and little appliances like hair irons are alright. Your hairdryer, however, is a no no.
