Hi, I'm riding round Australia on a small motorcycle (Australia first, then New Zealand to Japan then the rest of the world back to California). I'm in Cairns right now waiting for my tank to get fixed (sprung a leak). I'll be here another 14 days maybe longer, then on to Darwin to Broome to Perth. Is anyone else stuck here alone looking for something to do? I'm 34, male, like sci-fi and punk rock. wow your trip sounds absolutely amazing....makes me want to get a drivers license....although im not sure everyone else would want me to be on the roads ha ha

I've always wanted to see the world and was supposed to do this trip with a girl a few years ago, but that relationship went south. I figured I'd get around to doing it someday, and put it off. I got mugged, had my head wacked open pretty good and 4 hemotomas and 4 days in ICU, I figured I should get off my ass and do the trip while I'm still alive.

I've played in punk rock bands the last 12 years and I've seen the states plenty of times. It's hard finding someone willing to try this, so it's just me alone.
