Default Alone in Iceland?

Hi everyone, this is my first post here!

I am going to the UK ( I'm from the US) in Sept and was thinking about taking advantage of Iceland Air's stopover sale. I've backpacked a bit through Europe alone, but does anyone have any advice for seeing Iceland alone? Would anyone recommend it? I'm a student so I'm on smaller budget. Any help would be appreciated, thanks so much!

I was in Iceland doing the same Iceland air stopover... Stayed 3 days and had a blast... Being alone shouldnt be that bad, and the prices of things have gone down lately, but it will still be quite expensive...
I would suggest staying at the Reykjavik city hostel... Very cool place, HUGE and a good chance to meet other travelers while there...
Spend a day at the Blue Lagoon for sure!!! They even offer transport from the airport directly to the lagoon, and then onto the city and hotel or hostel of your choice... The Blue Lagoon, has locker storage for your gear etc...
There are soooo many day trip excursions you can do, that its completely worth it!!! Other than a day at the Lagoon, we went Viking horseback riding through the lava fields and then spent the 3rd day just wandering around Reykjavik... Not the biggest city but the views are amazing and a good way to spend a lazy day...
I say go for it!!! Iceland is a cool country to have on your list!!!
Oh, and take eye covers for sleeping... Trust me on this one... We were there in Aug and it was daylight for 22 hrs...
