How does solo backpacking in the Middle East compare with a solo trip in Europe? I went solo in Europe for 2 months this summer and was wondering if the middle east has more or less solo travelers and small groups? I'm contemplating some various options for my next trip and a backpacking trip from Istanbul to Cairo sounds good but I'm not good at approaching larger groups of backpackers.
