Best way to get from Greece to Croatia?

Hey Everybody
I'm looking for the best way to get from Greece to Croatia. I'm going to be by myself which is no problem for me I just want a relativly inexpensive. I was looking a ferries but it doesn't seem like there is direct route. But I'm open to anything. Any Suggestions??
Thanks

I've not done this personally, but I would suggest overland via Belgrade. I got a ticket from the Hungarian border to Belgrade for ~20$, and one from Belgrade to the Greek border via Macedonia for ~35$, just to give you an idea of prices. Its a cool city and I wish I spent more than 2 days there. Of course if you have already been to Belgrade this idea is not that great anymore. Do you have a Eurail pass? Are you on a time constraint?

I haven't got a eurail pass yet because I didn't think they worked in eastern europe. Would you recommend getting one for there I had one in 2 years ago for france italy and spain and it was great. I'm not there yet so I don't know if I'll have time constraints how long did you trip from hungry to greece take you?

Eurail Global Pass does not work in Eastern Europe. There is one available that covers EE, but sometimes the tickets are so cheap you break even or end up spending more, so its worth it to compare it to point to point ticket costs.

Trip from Budapest to Belgrade was not that long. Maybe 5 or 6 hours. From Belgrade to Athens was about 21 hours.

Where are you planning on going and for how long?

I believe you are correct. i was on the Italy-Croatia ferry a month ago and a fellow passenger was telling us that to get to Greece he had to take the ferry from Croatia (Dubrovnik) back to Italy (Bari), then wait around 12 hours before boarding a ferry to Greece. So you could always stop in Italy if you wanted but I think it might burn up a day of travel and from he was saying, there ain't much in Bari to check out for 12 hours.
