Hey... I actually leave in a couple of days and I'm not sure how to get to my hostal. I'll be staying at Hostal Fernando, the address is c/Ferran31. I come in from the main airport in Barcelona and would like to either take a train or bus. Anyone know how to get there. The closest trains to the hostal are LICEU lL.3 in Las Ramblas and JUAME l L.4 in Via Laietana. Please help....asap
Thanks,
Mari

The Licau line it looks will be your best bet. Once you get off the train head south on the main road (Rambla dels Caputxins) It looks like you will walk down about 100 meters or so and Carrer de Ferran will be on your left hand side. Turn left on Ferran and about another 100 meters the hostel should be on the left hand side of the road. It will be between C d'en Rauric & C dels Banys Nous. So if you cross the latter you have gone too far.
Hope this helps. Feel free to ask for clarification of anything.

What Sijuki said. Its pretty easy to find from the Liceu stop. Just look for the KFC right across the street from the Burger King and thats the street you want. Those are two great landmarks when stumbling home intoxicated at 4 in the morning.

Haha, you only stumbled in at 4am... we didn't even go out to party until 2 am... and came home at 6!!! or 7 if we were really drunk
But yeah... it is dead easy to get around Barcelona especially if your hostel is near Las Ramblas...
P.S. there's a cup and ball scam that they pull on Las Ramblas. 4 guys 1 is the lead guy ( who mixes up the cup and balls ) and the other 3 are "alleged" players... but really they're all in on the scam... you can't win... trust me... so don't try
P.P.S the zoo rocks!I highly recommend it... the dolphins are sooo cool.. they'll play with the kids around the tank.

I like to be in bed by the time the sun starts coming up, otherwise I feel crappy about wasting the next day sleeping.
