Well I have made it to Amterdam ok, its been a long 24 hours but i made it. Originally I was quouted a price of 1150.00$ for my plane ticket and called arounf ang hagled down the price to 863.00$, which was not to bad. When I got to the airport yesturday, i made a "NON BUDGET" call...I upgraded my seat to a first class seat. Now before you all burn me down, it only cost me 220$ which if I do it both ways will only cost me about 200$ more than the original quote. For the comfort of the big leather chair and the personal attention from the flight attendent, to the much need leg room, i think it was worth it. I got my bags quicker, i was right at the front of the plane, so if it did go down, i would have the honor of being one of the first passangers killed!!!! YEE HAAA!!!! ANyway, the flight was good, i tried to sleep but only ended up with a kinked neck, which is killing me right now. Back to the fligth Attendent, Anne was fantastic, great service and pure jokes, I will be writing in a letter to air transat to commend her great work.!!! Hey TP I passed the word onto some of the flight attended who are also budget trav'las about travelpunk.com.
The stop over in Munich ( i think thats spelled right), was not to bad, but someone felt sick and got off the plane....we had to wait for 1 1/2 hours while the found that persons bag in the belly of the plane. So that sucked!!!
Finally landed in Amsterdam about 1 1/2 hours ago and got the train into the city, it was about 6E or so. Don't forget to grab a free city guide when your in the airport. The train ride was only about 10-15 min or so.
It did not take me long at all to find the Bulldog hostel, and I will posting a complete review when i get the chance, first impressions at check in, not to shabby....please stay tuned!!!! B)
