Thumbs up

OK, so I am booking all my stuff for my trip to Europe right now. And I looked at the train times from Berlin to Amsterdam and it takes 7 hours!!! I had no idea it takes that long!! I really dont have much time so I dont want to waste a day travelling (and there is no night train from what I've seen) so what should I do? I was looking at flying but I'm having a hard time finding a flight between the two cities. Can someone please help me figure out what to do?? Thanks!

Well you can try to find a cheap flight...ot you you could look at the big picture...

Berlin to Amsterdam is about 358 miles (576 km) (311 nautical miles)

Train from Berlin to Amsterdam 7 hours + 1 Hour for prep time boarding some waiting and what not =

8 hours (maybe)

Flight from Berlin to Amsterdam 1 1/2 hours + 3 hours arrival before flight leaves + 1 Hour for delays/security related issues + 1 hour pre-arrival issues/baggage pick up =

6 1/2 HOurs

If ya break it down your not saving as much time as you think, i learned that first hand. If you can find a cheap flight...go for it, but if you are paying an arm and a leg just take the train, the scenery is better!

i took a train from amsterdam to berlin and as long as you take an early train it no problem, my suggestion stay at the circus in berlin and stay up all night partying then get on your train and sleep seven hours to amsterdam and do it all over again. its great fun, just do it.
