I'm coming from the States and am landing in Scotland.. do I need a International Driver's Permit? Yeesh - I leave in 10 days and really left this until the last minute.

Hi Dave,

Normally you do not need a permit for a certain period of time, I know for my Aussie liscence I was able to use that for up to 12 months before having to get a UK one. The best place to look is on the DVLA website, www.dvla.gov.uk, you should be able to find out from there!

Your US liscence will be enough, as long as you are 18+
