$488 to London
I bought round-trip tickets from British Airways, Houston (IAH) to London, for $488 from STA. I don't think that's too bad. I've seen much cheaper from New York, of course, but that's the best I've seen from my airport.
Other fares have been marked down too, check it out if you're looking to book something...

I'm trying to find a flight.... looks like the cheapest out of Lubbock is about ~680$ (and that is hard to find). I think it is the jump to Lubbock to Houston/or DFW that is making the price go up.

You may have already done this, but if you do your search directly from the British Airways site, they'll show you the price differences for each day in the week you want to travel. Picking the right days can make a big difference. Once you have the cheapest days, plug them in on statravel.com to get the discounted rate.
One way or another you gotta get out of Lubbock, so there may be no way around that (even if you book that leg separately). You could always make the 3-week drive into Houston... haha.

I don't know for how long you're going to Europe, but that price could be fare-matching for Lufthansa's sale.
Lufthansa's Winter Getaway Sale- Purchase tickets by: January 24, 2007
- Depart between: January 24, 2007 - March 31, 2007
- Travel completed by: April 30, 2007
- Advanced purchase requirement: 7 days
- Minimum stay: Saturday night stay required
- Maximum stay: 30 days
Hope this helps someone else who is looking, and good job on getting such a good fare L.I.T.!

That's a good price, the cheapest I could find on aerlingus including taxes is $516, return NYC to Shannon.
Looking on the airlines website is a good idea to find deals Aerlingus are currently doing flights to NYC, Chicago or Los Angeles for €100 (one way), you have to book by the 31st of January and fly before the 31st of march but once this one is over another will start. They all should have the flexible dates thing aswell.
