is this a good price?

US Airways is putting out a special - Miami, FL to Lisbon, Portugal for $565 so figure approx. $670 to include the taxes. This special includes all the dates I need to travel on.

Do you think this is a good price for summer travel? Do you think I could get a cheaper ticket that still departs from Miami if I wait? Miami is the only "gateway" city I can get to for free.

The deadline for this deal is the 22nd (Saturday). I can afford the ticket but I'm still not sure if I can afford the whole trip so is there a method of getting only the ticket insured?

Sounds like a good deal to me.. then again, I'm used to the exorbitant summer prices from the west coast, so anything for less than a grand to Europe sounds enticing. d'OH!

As far as insuring the ticket goes, buy travel insurance for, say, the first week or two of your trip. At less than $2 a day, you'll be getting some peace of mind... and don't worry, you'll make it!

What month is it for? If it's between 6/15 and 8/31 I'd say you found yourself a pretty good deal!

My dates are roughly 7/1 - 7/29.

I might as well get the whole trip insured if its only $2 a day. Does Tpunk still sell insurance?

That is a VERY good price. I flew to Lisbon from Atlanta nearly 2 years ago and it was $700 something and I had a layover in Rome.

I say definitely jump on it; prices will only go up.

I couldn't get the flight. I need a guarantee from my employer that I can get x amount of hours per week, or another job, which I am now applying for.

Edit to the post ^^^ its not too late, the deadline is May 5 for Lisbon. I'll know more about my finances by then.
