Virgin-Atlantic is a kick-ass airline.
Food is alright, drink service isn't as liberal as it was before the Courtney Love Air Rage Incident™, and seat pitch tends to be average in Economy.
On the plus side, the entertainment is AWESOME (on-demand seatback screens with TONS of options including loads of music and indie movies), the flight attendants are hawwwwwt, service tends to be excellent 90% of the time, and the amenities kit is one of the best around.
If your flight qualifies, make sure you sign up for the Flying Club, as they have probably one of the easiest reward systems around. I've racked up a ton of miles between them and partner airlines, and have enough for a free trip to London, but I'm saving up to go Upper Class... at this point, with most other airlines, I might have enough for a domestic flight somwehere.
