Thumbs up

Hey all,

I have a question about buying passes in Europe. I found a perfect pass to see Eastern Europe with. The issue is that I am already overseas (and therefore difficult and/or impossible to find here). Is there a way of purchasing the Eastern European pass if you are already in Eastern Europe, maybe through a travel agency or something? I have only three days before my trip- so mailing from the States is not an option.

This is what happens I guess when you decide to backpack on a whim.

Thanks for your time and if you know of a way that I can't find - I will be in your debt. Take care.

Edit: PS. Apparently there is nothing I can do. Tough break for me . Well live and learn.

Is it possible for you to buy it online, send it to your house or a family members house, then have them 24 hour courier it to you in Europe????

And you right, we do REALLY learn from our mistakes!!!

hmmm...Let me see if that would work....

Thanks for the option- now to research.

EDIT: PS. why did I come so amazingly unprepared? Well there was one site I found that had very indepth info about train schedules, but no prices. But I used it for the last month to plan my trip.

http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en?

Therefore I did not know the real savings of a rail pass until I found this website, just a couple days ago, which gave you the price of point-to-point tickets:

http://www.railkey.com/tickets/erpoint.asp?AFF=ERG

I hope this will help others, since it is too late for me. Adios.

As an aside,

It is now almost the same price to go point-to-point and rely on finding cheap buses than getting the tickets sent here. Things seem to work out. As always .

Take care, and again CD, thanks.

36 hours and I am off...
