s'up tp'ers

Tell me about those above mentioned. I was talking to a friend earlier about my airfare to aus. And she told me I should look into joining a frequent flyer program like above mentioned. is anyone a member. Do you have to pay a fee? what's the deal. She told me that she already has enough points for a return ticket between canada and australia :o Holy crap since my upcoming trip will require that I fly really far I thought this sounded good cuz I could build up some good points.

I think any airline that you fly on will have a frequent flyer program. They are all free, I believe, and all you have to do is fill out the simple application with your flight info. Then they'll verify the info and and log your mileage accordingly.

What about Quantas? I think they're the big OZ air liner  .

Yeah TP QANTAS - an acronym not a real word so no 'U' after the 'Q' (here endeth the spelling lesson :D ) is our big airline but they are expensive as all hell. I've been looking at airfares from Oz to Europe and the difference between QANTAS and others is like AUS$600!!

Maybe their flights from Canada/US to Oz may be cheaper I don't know - guess it might be worth a look though.

Oh...and just for the record QANTAS stands for Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services. Second useless fact - they are the 2nd oldest airline in the world behind KLM Royal Dutch Airlines which commenced one year earlier.

My god...i sound like i'm teaching a lesson here...i do apologise people. Its late and i need sleep

yeah star alliance used to kick ass until United took a shit

I was well on my way to being a vip member (86,000 miles) and when United filed bankruptcy I recieved a letter stating that my miles had expired  what the fuck? expired? thanks for the warning United. Anyways it was a great program, I upgraded to business on several international flights using miles, which I might add is heaven in disguise ;)

Southwest Airlines here in the states is a must for frequent flyers, I think its set up so that when you purchase 3 RTs you get a free one, and the fares are already cheap as fuck to begin with. Good stuff, I highly recommend getting into the programs if your flying a lot :D
