I'm travelling to Scotland at the end of September to spend a week with my uncle. After that I'm planning on going to amsterdam for awhile and I was wondering what the most affordable way to get from Glasgow to Amsterdam would be; plane or train? How about ferry?

thanks,

Dorian

You're looking at about £80 (roundtrip) to fly there with KLM - not too many airlines make the GLA/PIK-AMS run. To do it by ferry, you first have to get to Newcastle, England. From there, it's roughly £100.. not to mention it's an overnight trip. I think flying's the way to go.

Thanks for the advice; I think I will invest in KLM for crossing the channel.
