If you check this out you will understand why I'm looking for these tix. Anyhow, what we need are two one way tix from Europe (yes ambiguous, but if they're cheap enough, we can probably find cheap transportation to that airport). Frankfurt would be ideal, but not necessary.

Anyhow, we'd like to leave anywhere from mid august - early sept. Preferrably fly into chicago (either airport) or minneapolis. If ther was something super cheap from say london to nyc i might consider that if we can find cheap tix from nyc. As you can see, we'll be quite flexible.

Yes, we are US citizs, so that one way thing won't be an issue.

anyhow, so far the cheapest I've found was aer lingus, from dub to chi for about 278 euro before taxes. Maybe on some other site I found for about 340 total USD. Don't remember. Anyhow, I'd really really really like to get in the 250-300 USD price range.

Please post if you know of any good sites to use (european based or otherwise easy to use from this direction) or find any good deals.

wow. that ws long! Sorry I can't help with the flight info. I just read the post and had to say that totally had to suck. I don't know what I would have done. I don't have anyone here that could wire me money.
And you missed the flight too? that's like the straw that broke the camels back. I might have gone home then. lol. Atleast you're still moving around. Take a couple of days to breath and take it easy. Who knows maybe by september you'll decide to keep on travelling.

Hmm, don't know of too many sites for European airfare searches except for within Europe, other than eBookers.com - they're not the greatest, but i've found a few great deals through them in the past. Good luck!

Also try Opodo, they're a UK company and their prices are in GBP but I've found decent deals on there before.

Thanks, still looking. The lowest I've found is about $350 so I'm kinda thinking that's about as low as we'll get. Kinda sucks, we flew here for $250 - bastards . Then again, I bought the tix 4 months in advance. Hope to book this week!

Just to pimp out StudentUniverse, I've so far found tix for $280 OW from Fra-Chi. Woohoo. Hopefully they'll still be there in a couple days. I realized that there is a huge difference once you hit September, so I eliminated end of August. So, if any students here are looing for flights, I highly recommend them! -- Note you HAVE to be a student or faculty and you CANNOT buy tickets for other people.
