Maybe I am overlooking this, but I cannot find a website/link that allows me to reserve an overnight couchette sleeper car online. I would prefer to do this online asap (if this is even possible) because it would save us a big hassle in having to go to the train station across town. The train leaves fro, Paris Auserlitz station going to Barcelona Sants. It is an 'EN' type train. Any and all help is mucho appreciated.

You can try booking at http://www.bahn.de (click on "international guests" for the english version). But sometimes you just can't book certain trains online. My gut feeling is that you'll have to go to the train station. Good luck!!

that train is a pricy 1 too! booking at the station is pretty darn easy though. if u spend more then 20 minutes trying to do it online, then just hit up the station and save yourself the headache.

i took an overnight (couchette sleeper) train from Paris Auserlitz to Rome. i found the easiest and cheapest way to book and reserve the ticket was to go straight to the station and speak to an agent. they may not always be friendly and its always busy there, but for sure there will be no confusion then on if you've got a sleeper.

Its gonna be damn pricey. Me and my buddy spent like 50€ a piece! from Paris to Madrid last week. I know you have a railpass....but consider the bus. I heard it takes longer but much much cheaper.

As for booking online...i have no idea. I dunno wher eu staying, but Austelitz is not too far if you take the metro... esp if your hostel is centrally located. Or, you can just reserve it at the station you get there from. Hope it helps. And genarlly its cheaper to book in person.

hey dont kno if you have a rail pass, but if you do just book it at a paris train station. last year i went from paris to barcelona overnight. i missed my train (i was at the wrong station), but luckly there was a second one leaving that night but i had to change trains at 6 am in toulouse. i used my pass and the extra charge was very small. good luck
