Hi everyone,
I'm just wondering what the best method would be to getting around the Greek islands. Do they have cheap fairies from each island or is more convenient to pay for a hop-on hop-off transport system like busabout???
Any help or advice would be great.
Thanks

Not reall a dead given answer but it worked for some traveers Ihave talked to. Head down to the ports and look for a few sailboats. A lot of times these people are tourists or circumnavigating and will be heading to other random islands. A lot of people do this solo so having somone to talk to for the trip is cool, or just like to introduce people to sailing and stuff.

A kid I know did this all over the Carribean and usually for free. Sometimes he was allowed on if he would help them do certain tasks while heading out, like raising sails, keeping watch for the Capt to get a quick 45 minutes of sleep etc. I mean the only problem is it can be touch and go but for the most part it worked for him.

Thumbs down

I am having the same issue. I am heading to Naxos for the last stop on my trip and I looked into making reservations for a ferry. They wanted me to pay and extra 35 Euros to have the tickets sent to me!! The price for the ferry to the island wasn't bad (20 Euros) but I am not about to pay that much extra just to make sure that I will get on the ferry.

If anyone has any better ideas, please let me know. I don't want to make that reservation and pay the 35 Euros for shipping the tickets if I don't have to!
