depending on how many places you see......and def not the most scenic way to go though......but there can be some great deals (of course u always have to factor in the bloody taxes.....u could get a 1pound flight then have to pay 29 in taxes.... ....still a good deal though....)

I found that RyanAir, although poo-poo'ed by some packaz, is more up front with price and taxes. I got my one way ticket from Rome to Paris for 48.50 Euro ($63 USD) all costs included. It sure as hell beats a 20 hour train ride. I am also making this flight in mid-June 2005 which is peak time. You may restrict yourself a little by booking ahead but in the long run it is worth it. There are last minute deals too but they tend to fill up fast. I have an inflexible 2 week schedule so I had to do it this way.
Either way, good luck and happy trails!

Hey, tell me how you like Krakow. My in laws are flying to Germany in June/July to meet with us and my brother in law (he lives in Germany) and then we're heading over to Poland (mainly Warsaw and Krakow) with them. My mother in law laws family is from there. She still fluently speaks Polish and has family over there. Will be an experience.
Jake and I booked our tix from Dub - Frankfurt for about $35 US a piece (OW) after taxes. It was like E 6.00 (no, my keyboard does NOT have a the euro sign!) beforehand. I just assume you have to throw the taxes in there. No biggie. I'd rather take a train (or in this case, ferry-train), but this was cheaper/easier!!
