Hey guys for my European adventure this summer we were originally going to travel around Europe with the use of the Eurorail but have since found out that it will save us a lot of time and maybe even some money if we fly. I just wanted to run some numbers by you guys so that you could tell me if these are about average plane fares or not; and maybe even point me in the direction of a particularly good website for this stuff.
1)Paris to Nice: Flight 35 pounds
2)Nice to Munich Flight 61 Euros
3)Munich to Venice Train 152 US dollars
4)Venice to Rome Flight 25 Euros

Thanks very much for any help you guys could lend us.

Dude trust me you might save some time and some coin but you'll be missing out on the great scenery by not taking the train.I had the 3 choices plane, train or bus? I'm going with the railpass because you see nothing or very little with the other two. Train is the way to go my friend :)

I know that I will miss out on some cool terrain, but we are on a very tight time budget so I think that flying is the only way to go.

you'll see enough scenery from munich to venice.

I was bored senseless halfway through my trip on the train.

I'd have flown for a lot of my trip if I'd had it back.

you could always kinda mix the two....im flying into london, then flying to dublin, then flying to bruessels, but from there its rail to adam, paris, barcelona before i fly back to london to leave...and once in the city it will be a lot of bussing...so it may be nice to take some rail travel time, but it doesnt mean that is all you can do. the fact that you are only using the rail once though may make it less cost effective. if you r on a tight budget you may want to fly and save your cash and time to explore the different cities and their surrounding areas...but it is of cours your trip, so have fun on whatever you decide!
