I have spent too much time stuggling to find information and I'm starting to get frustrated so I'm hoping someone here can give me some guidance.

A friend and I are going to be spending two weeks in Greece in June. We want to go to one of the islands but aren't sure which one. We'd like to compare time and costs, but I can figure out how to find either of them. (Crete is one we're really considering but are concerned about the time it'll take and the cost)

I've found lots of information for international ferries but not ones within greece. The one site I did find (Greek Ferries) was not at all helpful because when ever I searched for a trip it said nothing was available. I don't know if it has to do with my dates, port selection or what.

Any guidance would be so appreciated.

Thank you!!! That's exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for. It looks like they don't have schedules for June available yet, which is why I've been having problems with other sites.

I'm kind of talking myself out of this trip for a few stupid reasons so everytime I get a bit confused it makes me not want to go even more.

Cause I'm a wimp. I had some mental health issues (panic disorder) at the end of my trip to Italy in December and ended up flying home 3 days early. I know the issues are likely to pop up again and it's got me freaked. I've already cut the time I'll be there in half and how many places I'm going to see.

I'm also concerned about not knowing any of the language (which shouldn't be a concern because I got through Italy fine) and being on my own (which I won't be as a friend is coming with me and I was on my own in Italy and met tons of people). I also feel like I don't really have the money but I'll find it.

I also love where I'm living in England right now and I have to go home in July and I don't really want to go home and it upsets me that I'll be spending two weeks of my last month away.

I also feel like I know I'll be coming back to Europe in two years for Grad school and I can do it then. In the last 6 months I've moved to a new country and traveled a bunch and now I'm starting to be scared. Isn't that totally wrong?

Sorry, I gues I needed that out.

starpiste my advice would be to go travelling around the greek isles as everyone speaks english (ok not everyone but nearly everyone) as june is when the tourist season kicks off in the greek isles with rowdy brits check out any 18-30's twenty's or club freestyle brochures in your local thomas cook holiday shop!

as for spending the last 2 weeks away from this place you love in england...just make sure you can do most things you want to see in the third week and then you will probably still not have done as much as you wanted to (it happened to me when i lived away from home and im going back to budapest to see some more things i missed) and then it gives you a reason to come back to old blighty in the future

Hey Starpiste,

I can relate to the sadness about leaving a place you love - we're going to be leaving Vilnius soon, and I'm already mourning. BUT, some friends of mine taught me a technique that hopefully can help with the post move blues. Sit down and write a list of all the things you still want to do, experience, visit, even the things you want to buy as souvenirs. Then, depending on how long your list is, start doing the things every day and crossing them off your list. Hopefully you can do most of those things, and you can figure out which things are really important (for instance, I suspect I'll be able to buy a pair of black pumps in Germany after we move, so I'm not spending a lot of time in the 100,000 shoes stores around Vilnius) so when you get to your next home, you won't regret missing some super experience that you always MEANT to do. I'd put going to Greece on your list, too, so that you feel like it's a positive accomplishment, instead of taking time out of your last month in England.

Then when you come back in a couple of years, you can start another list!

Incidentally, we're going to Greece the week before Easter, can't wait!

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Not going isn't really a possibility and I'm sure once I book my flights (soon) I'll feel better about it. I already have a list of stuff too, but I've put greece on it now. Hopefully that makes me more excited about it too.
