Does any know of a website/book/something that will give me an idea of the time it takes to travel to certain cities by train? I want to plan out a rough itinerary, and I'd like to make sure that dont have any unreasonable traveling time planned. Thanks a ton, and I'll love you forever if you can help me out

you can check Bahn.de, they have the schedules for all rail journeys in europe. Click on "international visitors" for the english version. Also, try Rick Steves. If you download the 2004 Rail Guide there is a point-to-point map in there with rough estimates.
